Appealed a speeding ticket and finally had the hearing today: Cop didn't show!
The judge made it clear "Today is your lucky day" and i was dismissed with a win..
I never thought that happened anymore, but apparently that's how it works in Waltham. |
That is awsome. I went up to VT earlier in the year and got a $1000 ticket down to $100. The Judge
even told me to tell my boss to give me a raise. It was pretty sweet. But of course all the tickets I have got, I had to pay.

Congrats Roz!

Excellent news! I am hoping my next one goes the same way.

Congrats
I beat one a couple weeks ago where is was behind a cop and he "reverse" clocked me going 90, while he was at least 300 yards in front of me at 9:30 at night.
The judge looked at him like he has 3 heads when i asked how far in front of me he was while clocking me. |
awsome! i try to reschudule my hearings in hopes that happens
works some times!

Speaking of which, some foot officers were very impressed with your exhaust on newbury st. yesterday
|
That happened to me many years ago in Waltham as well...
...congrats!
They DON'T do that in Framingham Court however...done by proxy based on officer notes :((( |
That's normal in MA
The officer doesn't need to show for the initial hearing. Technically, I believe that you don't either.
Your appeal after the initial hearing is the one where you and the officer both need to be there. |
oic...odd thing is that the one in Waltham did not have an initial haering...
...appealed on the ticket, right to the traffic court, no officer, dismissed. There was not interim hearing.
