Audi corral in Newport over Labor Day Weekend (Yacht race)
The 26th Annual Classic Yacht Regatta, organized by the Museum of Yachting www.museumofyachting.org will be held in Newport, RI over the Labor Day weekend.
This year, Audi is official automotive sponsor under the Regatta's title sponsor, Best Life magazine. As "official vehicle" of the Regatta, Audi will be showcasing several models in its 2006 line-up, including the newly redesigned A6 Avant and the all new A3.
The Northeast Chapter of the Audi Club North America is organizing an Audi Corral where we plan to display some of the classic Audi‼sup>TM</sup>s of the past, such as the venerable Quattro Coupe, the indestructible 4000 quattro, the Coupe GT, and other four-ringed automotive icons, along with information on the Club. The corral will take place during the awards ceremony on the evening of Saturday, September 3rd. The festivities will begin at 6:00 PM • we will set up the Audi corral between 4PM and 5PM.
Tickets for Saturday‼sup>TM</sup>s reception are $ 45 at the door and $ 40 in advance. Let us know if you would like to purchase advance tickets. NOTE: you only need to purchase a ticket if you want to attend the reception • you don‼sup>TM</sup>t need a ticket to participate in the rest of the events.
We need your help to locate the Audi‼sup>TM</sup>s that shaped the automotive industry - funny how many other manufacturers now offer AWD!!! We plan to display 5-8 classic Audi‼sup>TM</sup>s. Please let us know if you would like to have your classic Audi considered for the ACNA Corral, or if you have a friend that has one of these icons hidden away.
