I warped the crap out of a brand new set at LRP last month, and I'd rather not have to pitch $200 worth of brand new rotors after 50 miles.

I thought it may have been pad deposits, but after a thorough cleaning, they still give me wicked pad knockback and shake under heavy braking. I can actually feel the brake pedal moving up/down during street braking. I took them off the car when I got home from the event and haven't used them since.

Can slotted rotors be "turned" on a lathe, or whatever NAPA uses to even out the surface? Or do the slots prevent this process from working properly?

No problem turning them, but some manufacturers do not recommend it (Audi included)

They're slotted Brembos, stock size for my car.

a lathe isn't going to like the slots. did you clean the slots? a small file would be my choice of weapon for this.

slight TJ...does NAPA turn rotors? Any other places?
