Change oil/filter, wash/dry day or 2 before, fill gas, inflate tires to max

Put it away hot, so moisture will evap out of the muffler. Don't put it away wet after washing. Make sure you check door jambs, rocker panels and around trunk for pooled water that could freeze.

Try to find a heated garage. Verify your anitfreeze concentration is 50/50 or better. If you store in an unheated space, consider installing an electric block heater for cold snaps. Consider removing your battery to store inside where it's warm. (Make sure you have your radio theft code before you unplug).

Tires pressure will drop over time due to leakage and cold air. Put a chalk mark on each tire where it meets the floor.

Cover it when cool. Concrete dust eventually covers everything in my garage after a couple of weeks.

Each month during winter, start it up and run until hot to get the juices flowing/charge battery. Take it into the driveway and turn it around (slowly, to minimize any salt spray). Drive back in and make sure the chalk marks are in a different position to help prevent flat spots on your tires.

My allroad is my winter car.
