I have a 1.8t passat and need to find someone who knows the beast for general maintenance (oversized filters, correct oil, ect)

mann makes one. I do not have the part number on me, but in issence it holds about 1/2 quart more oil than the original oem, helping with the overall sludge issue.

Oversize filter = NAPA Big Kahuna version as well.
 
For the 1.8T VW specified a larger filter a couple of years ago. The Wix part number 51333 by the way.
