Nice to see and chat with some other people that I had not met before. Yogee, your car sounded great when you were leaving. Tom, I'll chat with you off line soon. I wanted to stay a bit longer but needed to get home (wish I lived 5 minutes from the site, haha).
Thanks to Chris Miller with the NAAC of the ACNA for setting up the event and for Greg and Glenn from Audi for spending their evening answering our questions.

Great seeing you as well. And a GREAT event.
It was wonderful to be able to do a free-form Q&A session with some pretty serious Audi techno-geeks. They were very forthcoming while at the same time being respectful of their obligation to Audi (e.g., not getting into extreme speculation). These guys are a real asset to the local Audi community and I hope all in attendance are respecteful of their contributions. Best way to do that is to honor their request to NOT be quoted in the forums. I've worked for enough large companies to understand why it's just SOOO much easier if we honor this request -- the PR/marketing types like to control messaging and others getting quoted in public forums tends to put their knickers in a twist.

Here's one for you...
After most people left, we got a little tour of the back rooms. Although the facility barely looks like a place where cars are ever taken apart (WAY too clean for that), there are some pretty disassembled bits in their "closets." About a dozen engines of varioius models. In discussing the different Audi engines through the ages, I posed the question "Which is your favorite?" That led to the inevitable "it depends..." but there was consensus among the Audi guys on the 4.2 being the most trouble free.
I still like my turbos though. :-P
