Default Hey absoluteis, Were you at the Taste of Lexus event at Weymouth Airforce Base this morning.

I was pretty sure I saw you there (unless you have an identical twin). I was over in the line to drive one of the IS350's and I think I saw you getting out of one.

Default Hey, Any chance I can get to toss around a car other than my own and sign me up.

Trust me, there is better chance of LA falling in the ocean due to an earthquake than of me purchasing a Lexus.

Default But what did you think about it after you drove it?

No, it's not an Audi, but it's a lot more than a dressed up Camry.

Audi sold 90,116 cars in the USA in 2006, while Lexus sold 322,434. The Lexus may not be designed for our target market, but it's a huge market, and I believe it's the one the Audi is targeting as Audi's have become less sporty over the years.

And just to push Kris over the edge....I'd bet in 5 years, we could be blind folded and not know if we were driving an Audi or Lexus (cuz' we're not the customer base they're shooting for).

It's a real nice car, it's priced right, and the customer service is exceptional. I personally would not want to own one as my daily driver, but I have high respect for what Toyota has designed and delivered.

So, what did you think of your test drive?

Default Fair enough....My comments are directed more towards the A6

as neither the A4 ot R8 fit my needs at this point. I was also referencing the current model year Audis.

Unfortunately, the current Audi C series is more MB/Lexus than BMW with no manual option, which to me isn't sporty.

The real point is that Lexus makes an exceptional car and we should give it credit for that....even if it's not a car we'd personally want to drive every day.
