Default Little Foreign Car Garage...quick question

My rear pads are gone, need them replaced. I tried myself this morning but the caliper bolts were stuck on there quite tight, can't get them off. Any one know what the labor rates are at LFCG and possibly what they might charge for a rear brake pad service?

Based on reviews here, looks like a great shop. Going there to get summer wheels mounted and balanced.

Thanks!

Default use a hammer

if you've already gotten as far as you did, don't let that stop you; just use the rubber end of a hammer, and firmly hit the handle on your socket wrench.

I don't know what LFCG's current rates are. They're not cheap though.

Default Yeah, I'm going to try again tonight, got a garage to use. I bought some PB Blaster, hopefully that

will help loosen up that bolt. I can't fit a socket wrench in there, a brake line is in the way by just that much so it won't fit. I have open ended wrenches that I'm using.

I was using the hammer for quite a bit on the end of the wrench and didn't budge at all. The PB Blaster should help (didn't have that on hand this morning).

Default Took another stab at it, got the top one off but the bottom one did not want to budge after

45 minutes of trying. Gave up last night as I was tired and hands pretty much beat up. Going to try again tonight hopefully.

I'm located in Boston, about 50 miles away from Kingston. If I had more time, I would definitely take you up on the offer but my schedule is packed. I appreciate the offer though!!

buy a breaker bar and a piece of pipe. no bolt will stop you (until you snap one off...)
