Little Project. Hot or Not? Biting VW Style?

I've spent the last 3 days working on this:

I have an older no-name roof basket that I used to utilize on my Benz Wagon. It was black, but some of the finish had come off and was rusting under that.

I wire-brushed the **** out of it and wiped it down with Prep-Solv->

I then painted two coats of Rustoleum Hammered-Finish Silver paint->

First coat->

Second coat->

I then took my wind-fairing and polished the "Yakima" text off the black finish, and applied "Audi Quattro" decals similar to the graphics they used in the 80' on the winning rally race cars->

On the car results->

And some shots with "gear"->

Sweet.. when filled with stuff.

I would have blacked out the fairing... no logo at all.

you ARE going to take it off when not loaded with stuff... right?

empty it might be a tad dorky.

Fine...I'll strap in a old beat-up suit case when I'm not actually using it for gear. That way y'all still think it looks good...:)

i have this vision of seeing your car hauling-azz down the road, full exhaust note, screaming, with a fully loaded rack on top.... hehe.... other than that vision... it looks good, props for making it look OEM

HA HA - Hit 90 with the DTM MaDneSS crap on the rack...no problems. Wish I had a rolling shot, I could make your "vision" come true. See the rest of the MadNESS on another post...thanks...
