I've been to this shop before a few times - seems there is no regard for customer loyalty.

Called to get an estimate for a two gasket changes. Chief mechanic who I've dealt with before gave a detailed breakdown of the cost - so I made an appointment. I double confirmed the numbers.

Dropped off the car and was told by shop manager Steve on the phone later that job labor would be twice as much. No misunderstanding about what's involved in the job - just that these two guys are quoting totally different numbers and think they can run a shop this way.

Told them not to touch the car. Shop refused to honor their estimate - said they were too busy (I guess they have enough people to screw at the moment).

I'm done dealing with them. Filed a BBB complaint and am looking for a new shop in the Boston area....

I had thought about going there once because I drove by it every day, but then I came on here and did a search. That gave me plenty of reason to stay away.

That's unfortunate. I understand if they call and apologize and say they made a mistake....but.

this was few years ago...saw their name in the forums. looks like service has gone downhill.
