At first it was bad but after a couple of minutes my ears actually started to hurt.
I was actually suprised that the restaurant didn't offer the patrons a coupon or something to show that they were very sorry about the inconvenience that the loud, buzzing alarm.
The same thing happened to me and my wife at a TGIF's when an alarm went off for 15 minutes and they gave me a coupon good for a free appetizer.

I was at an excellent restaurant in Sboro (Tomasso's) when a transformer blew.
Pretty inconvenient for all concerned because the lights went out. For safety reasons, they cleared us out and everybody's dinner was "on the house." I tried to go back and clear my $60 check the next day but they would not hear of it. Saw it as the price of good customer relations in the face of our inconvenience. THOUSANDS of dollars written off there. Earned my loyalty BIG TIME.
