I intend to do that on my 740I but i don't know were yet. Have you had any help? If i had a garage i would help you to do it in a weekend with my son. We have tools but stands we would have to rent.
Where do you live?

740i?? is that bmw?
anyways, no help so far. i'm thinking to just have a professional shop do it since no one is available. do you think its possible to just lift up each corner with the factory tire change tools and do it one corner at a time?
i'm in chelmsford, ma.

Don't use the OEM jack, it's dangerous
Honestly, I wouldn't even change a tire with it. A number of us have had properly secured cars fall off of the OEM jack. It's a lawsuit waiting to happen.

Yes it's a Bmw and we have done some work as necessary to it.
You are to far, i'm in Weymouth and don't even think about doing some work on it w/out stands.
Too dangerous.
BTW i have a 2001 a6 2.7tq and no real problems yet.
