Default The new speeding ticket surcharge in MA lasts 7 years? WTF?

Officer Derek Zoolander informed me of such this morning.

He also informed me that going 75 down an onramp is extremely dangerous. Sorry, Officer, next time I'll come to a complete stop.

Default Takes 6 years to erase a violation off your record =( I got 2 points in '06, won't see

a reduction till '09 by one point then completely erased in 2012.

Default Before the new rape policy, it would only take 3 years

It's a shame we're unable to vote these dirtbags out of their jobs.

Default romney??Re: Before the new rape policy, it would only take 3 years

Dare I say romney and his longtime insuance commissioner brought in the new system?

He did keep rate increases down however... the expanded use of laser makes my new ZR3 shifter investment a no brainer. You gotta upgrade now, or else u will waste time in court fighting a 5 over ticket in a 30 zone FTL

Default not only that, but 1 violation brings you from credit to surcharge, whereas...

the old system you could go from step 9 to step 12 and still have a "credit" step since the scale started at 15

it's total bull****

Default lawyers love it i bet

maybe they lobbied for it. Basically, paying an attorney is even more worth it now. Before, a step 9 could stomach a ticket. Now, you gotta up your counter radar technology and have an attorney on retainer lol

Default I've got a good driver standing of 98 (new system) which will finally go to the better 99..

standing this fall after a non-point moving violation in 2000. My wife will finally have a point wiped off this year after an incident in 2003 but she has to remain incident free for another 3 years in order to get back to a 99 status.
