Default Registration is OPEN - NAAC 2013 Winter Driving Schools

North Atlantic Audi Club (NAAC) is hosting their Winter Driving School (WDS) once again. The winter school will be held at the Team O'Neil Rally School in Dalton, NH. It is a safe, low-speed event with expert instruction and a fun atmosphere, on a closed course. If you would like to learn to control your car in slippery conditions, to handle every type of skid including correcting understeer and oversteer, how to stop most quickly in icy conditions, then this school is for you. The school is held at a rally school facility in northern New Hampshire making great use of the varying terrain. During the 1 1/2 days of instruction, you will learn to handle your car on three difference courses, a road course (to learn off camber control), a slalom course (to learn steering and braking thresholds) and a skip pad (to learn throttle versus steering inputs)

This event is very much at your own pace, and everyone from inexperienced to very experienced drivers will learn a great deal and have a blast. For drivers who have enjoyed our high performance driver education events on racetracks, the Winter Driving School is an excellent opportunity to hone car control skills that then apply to all sorts of driving, improving safety even on the track.

There are two winter schools.
January 26-27
and
February 23-24

Do not delay in signing up for these winter driving schools. They have sold out for the past five years.

For winter driving school, we do not require a tech inspection involving bleeding of brakes. The weather will hopefully be below 32 degs and the cars almost never go faster than 20mph. The only thing we will ask of the students is to equip your car with snow tires if you shall be bringing up a FWD or RWD car. You can look at the side wall of your tire to see if you have snow tires. I will need to see a mountain outline around a snowflake. This is the indicator that your tire is pliable at very cold temperatures compared to that of summer tires.

However, if you car has a tendency to leak oil, please do have this issue resolved by a service center before bringing it to any driving event.

Cheers
