Sold my A6, so I'm back to being ------->
Three cars proved to be one too many for my realistic needs, so I somewhat reluctantly sold my '97 A6 yesterday. My A4's headlights are in harm's way far too infrequently to justify owning a third car.
And (ironically) as my insurance agent put it "that's what insurance is for".
A college student from here in NH bought it. It served me quite well over the the past 10 mths / 9k miles, and he is getting a really good, dependable car.
On another note, I had bought the Milltek downpipes and 3" exhaust for my S4 last December during Stratmosphere's "Holiday" sale (27% off, but still expensive as hell). I just had Northern European Automotive in Concord install it a few weeks ago, along with the free upgrade of my Dahlback chip (revised code, Stage II+ now rated at 360 hp / 420 tq with the H-box) to work with the new exhaust components. Sounds great - quiet and unobtrusive but awesome at WOT - and feels great too.
It's nice to pick up your car at a shop, ask if "there is anything I should know", and have the owner/tech (Tim, in this case) say "Oh, no - that thing rips."

Ha ha I am the college student who purchased the A6 and so far I AM LOVING IT!
I went to a party on Friday night just hours after buying it. My friend has a lake house and it was all 55mph back roads the entire way there- it was a BLAST to drive- when we arrived my car was the only one that could easily make it up the loosely packed dirt hill! Love the Quattro!
I have done quite a bit of reading so far on AudiWorld- still trying to figure out this forum software.

Wash that thing, will you?
Hey Matt - that's good to hear. I imagine your friends are pretty envious.
Here, it feels kind of wierd to not have the A6 in my garage...
