Spend Easter in NYC and attended the Auto Show
I could not wait to see the R8 in person as I had missed my chance when it was displayed at the Audi Forum in Park Ave. So much anticipation and so many pictures, but it was as awesome in person, even after all the hype.
Next was the new TT, which is a nice car, but it's just not for me right now (being a family man)- I hope I do not offend anyone.
Lastly, there it was... the S5 in bright red... WOW, much, much nicer in person than in pictures! The rear treatment is specially nice.
I had criticized it in pictures but I take it all back now. This thing is sporty and beautiful looking. If I wasn't planning to keep my 2.7T for 3 more years, this would be its replacement!(Must opt for the family needs first... so the Q7 S-Line will be my next car).

Other cars to note: the new Infiniti EX is a vehicle exactly between a G35 and the FX. It's lower, smaller and sleeker than the FX. The front headlights and side mirror turning signals were neat. Not sure if this car fits in the small SUV segment or small crossover since its not big enough to be an SUV (not much cargo space at all). Other Audi's in display: S6, S8, RS4, Q7. I did not see any Q7 TDI or Hybrids.
BMW and MB had nothing special IMO. Lexus had the IS-F which has this huge bump on the hood but it makes the entire front section look like a big swollen bump... way too ugly for my taste. The Spyker SUV was also at the show. Again, not sure if this fits into the SUV segment, very sleek with seating for 4 with hardly any rear cargo room. It seemed like an 'elevated' sedan more than anything.
