Two things: Question and Google's Gmail, free invites.
Question. Would I mess up my 2002 A4 1.8T if I put regular gas in it? I have not done it, just had the curiosity.
Also:
I have a few GMail account invites left and want to share with this board. Gmail is the best free web mail on the net (IMHO) and you can only get an account if invited. Free 2GB storage and no SPAM, woohoo. so if you are interested email me at csabatini@gmail.com
What I use it for? Store my resume (comes in handy), store and share those special MP3 "legal" files of course, store my Audi photos, videos, etc.
OK, gotta go back to the sweatshop.

You should put in whatever grade is listed on the sticker on the inside of the fuel tank lid...
Putting in less of a grade will just back off the timing a bit, and not run as clean. You can do it... I know one of the service guys at my dealer puts 87 oct. in his 2.7T A6 and has no problems.
As for the Gmail invites, no thanks, I have 300 invites left myself ;-P

Re: Use super. The 1.8 needs the premium fuel.
Thanks for your suggestions. I know DosQuattros was itching to call me cheap. I just wanted to know what kind of damage would happen. I have heard some horror stories for going to the cheap stuff.
