Greetings from Vermont! The Green Mountain Chapter of the BMW Car Club of America cordially invites you and your family to OKTOBERFAST '06, our Second Annual German Car Weekend. OKTOBERFAST '06 will be held October 6-8 on the fields of TOP NOTCH RESORT and SPA in picturesque Stowe, Vermont.

OKTOBERFAST '06 will be a fun-filled weekend for German car enthusiasts and their families. The Green Mountains of Vermont, in peak foliage colors, will be the beautiful backdrop for car buffs to show and drive their cars, and socialize with fellow automobile aficionados. The event is open to all German marques - Audi, BMW, Mercedes, Mini, Porsche, and Volkswagen. The OKTOBERFAST '06 weekend will include scenic drives, a show-and-shine, a tech session, a dinner get-together, and social hours.

We are excited to announce a wonderful addition to our event this year - our partnership with the 24th Annual Stowe Art & Craft Festival. This festival features 185 of the best regional artisans, hand selected because they are the pinnacle of their trades. Enjoy live musical performances by The Highland Weavers and Vermont Jazz Ensemble, sip wine in the Sante Magazine's Wine Tasting Pavilion, and be amazed at the pottery, blown glass, furniture, clothing, weavings, leather, original art, and fabulous photography. The Green Mountain Chapter is committed to hosting an exciting and memorable event dedicated to the German car fanatic. Our inaugural event, SOMMERFAST '05, was small, but a resounding success nevertheless. BMW Tech guru Mike Miller attended, and wrote a glowing article about SOMMERFAST which was published in Bimmer Magazine. Mike will be joining us again for OKTBERFAST '06, and will be hosting a Tech Session and showing off one of the latest BMWs. We have set the bar even higher this year, making several improvements. We're proud to have The Automaster return as our Presenting Sponsor. Our other dedicated sponsors are back as well, along with a few new ones, which will certainly bring the event to the next level. Bear in mind, this isn't a Pebble Beach Concourse d'Elegance, nor is it a PTG race at Sebring. We are a small chapter with a big heart and fun as our main focus. We hope you'll give your baby a little extra TLC for the show-and-shine, but do as much or as little waxing as you want. The highlight for everyone will surely be driving some of the most scenic roads in North America!

OKTOBERFAST '06 INFO

When: October 6, 7, 8 - 12 noon Friday through noonish Sunday.

Where: The fields at TOP NOTCH RESORT and SPA in Stowe, Vermont. Visit www.gostowe.com for general directions and a variety of lodging options. This is peak foliage season in Vermont and rooms do book quickly. Unfortunately, this also means that rates are sufficiently higher than mid-summer.

Who: All Audi, BMW, Mini, Mercedes, Porsche, and Volkswagen cars, car owners, car fans, and their families and friends.

How Much? $40 per car.
