Hows everybody doing, i am a veteran mechanic who is a luxury car enthusiast. I have in the past purchased a few luxury vehicles, but today brings me to my 2006 audi a8l that i purchased as a flood vehicle that was rebuilt, inspected and deemed safe. It is an amazing vehicle i cannot lie and everybody in this forum would agree i made an excellent choice. It runs like a dream. They replaced a front shock that dropped a few weeks after pick up. the only issues i have had with this car is shown below. They are pesky and mildly problematic. One is for a speed sensor on the driver rear hub, easy fix for $20 on ebay i assume...its on the way now. Also theres a code because i recently disconnected the battery moments before scanning. I think the speed sensor code triggers the abs and the orange triangle and the parking brake on my dashboard. also im not sure what the p0430 catalytic converter below threshold bank 2 is. I used some cataclean with a half tank of gas "i know the bottle says 1/4 oops." it removed the check engine light after a 100 or so miles and came back on some 500 miles later. It also says i have a vacuum leak which i jiggled some of the lines that were located behind the engine by windshield. not sure of the technical terms of those i think one is the egr tho. the check engine light went off after jiggling related to the vacuum leak. I do not think the catalytic converter is dead, that would mean the internals are broken, i think they may have been dirty or clogged.
