Default Audi A3 owner in NH Question

Hi all,

I'm Dave. Just purchased a 2016 Audi A3 premium and am loving it so far. I did notice something odd about the vehicle I thought I'd ask about. I've got an automatic transmission but I can really feel when the car decides to shift. Specifically, whenever I try to coast to a stop and gradually apply the brakes, it feels like the car attempts to downshift too early and it causes engine braking/an rpm spike in addition to my foot pedal braking which jerks the car a bit. It's not quite as noticeable in D mode, definitely more noticeable in S. Is this normal for Audi's/the A3? The car is certified, serviced, single owner and looks like it was babied....I'd have a hard time thinking it was something wrong with the transmission.

Welcome to the forum. There is very little traffic on this board. You may want to post your question on the A3 board.
