Hello. BMW refuge here
 

Hello. I just joined. I drive a 2018 SQ5 and my daughter, a 21 year old college student, drives a 2018 Q3.

I have been a BMW and Mercedes driver for years. (I also drive a 2018 AMG GT coupe.) Over the last 17 years I have had 12 BMWs. Before that a lot of Mercedes. Until I bought my daughter her Q3 last August (the 2018s came out early), I have never had an Audi.

I have been drifting away from BMW. So I consider myself a BMW refuge. Current Bimmers are very boring and it takes a long time before new products come out. (My last two BMWs were an i8 and an M4.) When my daughter selected the Q3 last year I drove it and was impressed. I traded the i8 for the Merc last September and recently got rid of the M4 in favor of the SQ5. I really enjoy it (although I could use another 50+ HP.)

I am a trial lawyer. I have been practicing for 46 years. Yes, I am old. But with a young daughter in college, I have to act 30 years younger.

I look forward to participating on this forum. (I currently participate on a Mercedes forum and used to participate on a couple of BMW forums. I also started a BMW forum in 2006 which eventually ran out of steam a few years later.
