Default Hi from Germany

Hi, I'm Marc from Germany.
I am driving an Audi A4 B9 3.0 TDI 2016.

When I drove the first winter with this great vehicle, unfortunately, I had a shortcoming, which annoyed me very much.

Directly above the front tire, there is a maintenance opening on the current A4 and A5 models.
This is covered with a plastic lid.
The problem is that this lid is not tight. Thus, sand, mud, water, brake dust and especially aggressive salt are transported directly from the road into the engine compartment.
Maybe I did not understand everything in materials science 100%, but that does not get along well with bare aluminum and salt, has stuck in any case.
Also, it is certainly not beneficial that brake lines, wiring harnesses and other sensitive components with the dirt of the road are applied. Not to mention the paint in the engine compartment.
Long story short ... a solution was needed.
This looked like some prototypes in such a way that I filled in my cellar a self-milled casting mold with special silicone and afterwards, could shape accurately fitting silicone covers.
In the meantime, I have the new cleancaps manufactured to industrial standards offer them A4 and A5 (B9) drivers for sale.

How about you, does your cleancaps by massic.de already know? Have you ever had the problem with the pollution?

Greetings Marc
