New Member Q7 2009 MP3 Player
Hello there and apologies - I see numerous threads but not what I am after.
So I currently have an iPod 164gb classic hidden in the console streaming music with the 30pin connector. Unfortunately for me the ipod is failing!!
I don't wish to use my iphone as it is a lightening cable connection which I don't have although I suppose I could purchase if required and if I know the correct name of it.
1. My first question here is what other MP3 player could I purchase right now in Australia which would connect to the existing connector which I already have?
2 .If 30pin connector MP3's are on their way out then what is the next best thing which isn't an ipod or any type?
3 .If I do buy a smaller apple issue ipod such as a shuffle what is the name of the cord I need to source (from ebay ?
4. Does my 2009 issue Q7 have a USB connection somewhere that I cannot see? And could I connect a usb stick and stream music that way?
I don't wish to rewire anything or buy unnecessary adaptors to add onto my existing unless it is my only option (ie. I'm unable to source correct cord).
Many thanks in advance for patience and for sharing the knowledge.

You need to post in the q7 subforum.
BTW if you get a Tune2Air module you can do wireless Bluetooth streaming from any device and play it through your radio. It fits directly on the 30pin cable you use to plug into your ipod and you'd be set

The device you need:
