"The selected system is currently not available" Message on Homelink
Did any of you find out what the "The selected system is currently not available" Homelink error message means on your Audi??
I saw this thread posted a few years ago, and my 2012 A6 just started showing this after my garage door opener quit working. The lights won't blink when I push the buttons anymore, and when I try to reprogram it, the section is grayed out on the screen.
Any help???

Yes, one of the three wires leading into the transmitter/ receiver unit attached to the grill was broken. The break was right by the connector which attaches to the transmitter/ receiver unit. I soldered the wire and now it works great.

Hi Jayson, can you please send a picture showing where the transmitter is located? Thanks

Homelink “not available”
I am adding to this old post because I needed the answer and no one had offered a solution after several years. I began to program my 2011 A8’s Homelink to my new house and half way through the process, the MMI menu grayed out the garage door opener entry. My MMI has been updated to the current version, by the way.
I turned the car off and on several times, but it was always gray. I reset the MMI (Home+upper right corner+Tone), but the entry was still gray. I locked the car and went inside to make a call.
Fifteen minutes later, I got so frustrated that I came out to try again. However, when I unlocked and started the car, the menu was back and I was able to program it. Bottom line for me was that the car (and I) just needed to calm down for a bit.
