Needs a few more things to be a track car
The 1.6 brakes are a bit undersized for the power that an FM2 will make on the track. Obviously it needs a roll bar as well.
Kind of depressing how much the economy has pushed down the value on that kind of car.

that's a rediculously low price for all of that stuff.... *IF*
everything is running RELIABLY, which is hard to judge on a test drive. Being that many people's brain goes to the OFF position when HP numbers are dangled before their eyes... and the fixation is on dyno numbers and acceleration over what's really needed for fun: reliability and drivability. (many ppl are disgusted at how little maintenance a normally aspirated HPDE Miata needs between track sessions. But I'm preaching to an ex-SM racer here...)
The parts by themselves are fine (esp FM parts). But that doesn't mean consumers hasn't try to play the "I'm smarter than the manufacturer power plant engineers", and tried to tweak away reliability (adding PSI to seek HP) from the power plant. The whole power plant needs to be optimized as an integrated system, and I doubt many shade tree 'tuners' has any clue.
Same thing for suspension system. With added power means more stress on drive train, brakes and rest of the vehicle. The whole vehicle should be viewed as a system.
But even given all of my 'negativities' above, for that price, you can get it and hope it's reliably setup. If so, just add safety equipments and off you go. Otherwise, you can always unbolt all that extra 'mods', and there are plenty of idiots who would be more than willing to give you their hard earned $$ for it! And remember that a crate zero-time NEW engine from Mazda is only ~$2300 DELIVERED to your door, if you got Mazda sponsorship. Thus you could recover a lot of the costs.
Heck, I might even be 1 of those said idiots who may buy some of those parts off of you and try to out smart the professionally trained Mazda engineers! :P

LoL! just love reading $$ 'invested' in ads... that is called 'spend', NOT investment! :) [added]
'race ready' yet zero mention of safety equipments.
Cars like that, I'll be more than glad to give them point by's on the track... But if/when I see their drivers crawling under the car fix'n it in the paddock, I laugh to myself as I 'pass' them on the track while they're missing their run sessions. :P

hey you copying me haha. j/k I had the same sentiments on "invested" a few post down..
It's a nationally competitive race ready autoXer. But a few mods are needed (cage) to make it time-attack track ready.
