Could anyone help me change out shocks/struts?

I want to put s4 shocks/struts onto my 2001 a4 1.8tqm. Current suspension is hr race springs with non-sport shocks(now blown). Anyways me being a dumb*** trying to replace them myself and not knowing anything did not do so good. I did the front drivers and passenger side, but i believe i didnt do it right because now my suspension squeaks and rattles in the front. I would need some help refixing the front and doing the back if possible. I will supply the spring compressor and any tools although i gotta warn they are not air tools. If anyone has air tools i would love to borrow them! I have a big enough garage. I will supply beer and food. Thanks in advance!

An S4 suspension on a 1.8t car is a bad idea period. It'll increase your ride height.

not entirely true. The ride height is actually nice, HR race springs with

i actually wanted to see if someone can help me out, outside of a shop

if you're changing out the springs, whats the point in changing the struts?

wnut 03-13-2009 10:49 PM

current ones are blown and iirc the s4 ones can support more weight then the 1.8t issue.

STaSIS is good people
