Default It was poetic justice. I wonder if the officer was reassigned to parking tickets.

At the least, I am guessing he was written up.

Default since it's radar, the prosecution is required to produce it as part of their case

otherwise it has to be dismissed.

Radar and traffic conditions and volume are separate issues. CYA, bring the survey. :-)

Default <sigh>

read up on the law before being an ***.

<a href="http://www.dmv.ca.gov/pubs/vctop/d17/vc40802.htm">http://www.dmv.ca.gov/pubs/vctop/d17/vc40802.htm</a>

(C) (i) The prosecution proved that the arresting officer complied with subparagraphs (A) and (B) and that an engineering and traffic survey has been conducted in accordance with subparagraph (B) of paragraph (2). The prosecution proved that, prior to the officer issuing the notice to appear, the arresting officer established that the radar, laser, or other electronic device conformed to the requirements of subparagraph (D).

Default <siggghhhhh> shakes head and rolls eyes>

My procedure in handling my own case successfully speaks for itself. I won. The jursidiction I fought,(Westmoreland) was pretty much a one horse town. They did not provide a survey, even though I was supposedly radared.

Default I doubt it

The SC muni court sees dozens of these Hiway 17 tickets a week. They are also well aware of the number of accidents on the road. The posted speed limit is 50, and anyone involved in processing accidents/tickets etc. from this road every day will only tell you 50 is *too high* for most of the grandmas and RVs that drive that road daily.
