How do you do a good standing start with a DSG gearbox ?

Spring is coming and the Wednesday's night drag race are starting again at Sears Point / Infineon Raceway and I want to give it a try, just for fun. (Prefer the road course anytime over the dragstrip, but oh well, it's one more experience for not too much $$$ down)

Sorry to ask, but I was wondering how to do a good standing start with a DSG gearbox ?

In a standing start you're in (N)eutral and rev the engine at approx 3000 (?) RPM and then put the (D)rive, but the problem with the DSG is that you have to push on the brake at the same time when doing that ! And with the padshift you cannot go to N, that's unfortunate.

Launch control is disabled on US models
 

It may take a software change, but normally you can Hold down the brake pedal with left foot while increasing revs with right foot. Release Left foot when light is Green, trap is clean ;-)

Get the HPA DSG upgrade

Actually...some came with them. For instance....mine. They turned it off after a certain VIN.
