OK So I am finally moving! Anyone else here in Brisbane?
 

Just got the news me and the lady are moving to a nice house on the tippy top of the highest mountain in Brisbane (And when I mean the tippy top, after the main road up ends you go up another few football fields on a private drive, which turns to dirt just past our door. The dirt road turns in to a hiking trail which dissapears miles off..) Views of SF, the bay bridge, oakland, monster park, and off the other direction over South SF, 380, 280... you get the drift.

Just wondering if there are any AWers in the weird sub-culture that is Brisbane? The town itself seems self contained, and while I am far enough away from civilization to not be bothered by the weird looks, I figured I would see if theres anyone sane that lives nearby :)

I work in Sierra Point business park which is about a five minute drive from "downtown" Brisbane.
 

Although I drive a VW GTI now and haven't had an Audi in years.

I do hop over to Brisbane quite frequently as food choices are very limited by my work.

Are planning on buying one of those cult-like stars to put on your house? (If you don't know what I mean, you'll understand once you move to Brisbane.)

And if I was going to deface my house, I would rather have 10 foot Audi rings then a big star hahaha. I have no idea what they stand for either (they arent a david star for those of you reading, just a big wooden star on some of the homes.. all year long....) My intention is to stay as far from the cult-people (and the tap water... there HAS to be something in the water!) as I can.

I work in the Sierra Point Biz Park as well. I drive the Imola B6 S4...

So I spoke with an ex brisbanian and apparently the stars were givin out to everyone with homes on the mountain that agreed to display them during christmas back in the 70's. Someone in the town built them all and handed them out. Guess it was a cool site when people would drive by and the whole mountain had stars across it..

Nice town. I know some folks up top on Kings Rd.

i swim at the brisbane pool after work once a week or so :) i work in SSF off of Oyster point

We are above kings road... if My car happens to fall off a cliff.. it'll land on Kings :)

Ohhhh yeaaaa I thought you were a genentecher hahaha.. Why not just hop in the bay? :)
