using insurance. I could touch up myslef, but afraid it will look crappy. Spraying the entire bumper sounds spendy.

come on help a brother in need...

I had my rear bumper repaired and resprayed after someone scraped it in the parking lot and left. I removed it myself and took it to Pleasanton Metal and Paint which did the work for $500 cash. Came out great.

Default I just used L&M Mobile Car Touch-up Service today - very impressed...

The owner, Luis Lopes was very prompt. He has a van with all required equipment on onboard. His ssiter Maria helps him. He came from Fremont to my house in Pleasant Hill - charged me $60 extra since I was out of his stated service territory. He explained the steps he would take, then got to work. I took off on a long bike ride and when I returned he was prepping for clear coat. All in all he spent 5.5 hours to repair my scratched (and very slightly dented) bumper. He matches your paint color using your paint code via a computer in his van. He carries all tones required to match. He then sprays a sample chip and compares with paint surrounding the work area. Next he adjusts the paint color (by hand) to really match your current paint color. I was a little skeptical when he described this part (I thought maybe he would computer analyze my EXISTING paint color).

In the end, he did a great job. He matched the bumper color perfectly and blended his paint into the existing bumper paint (which had already been repainted). He charged $575 which seemed very reasonable given the amount of time (commute and working), quality of work and guarantee of 5 years.

He also cleaned up and sprayed two of the spokes on one of my wheels to show me how well he can fix up wheels to look near new.

Overall, if you want a mobile touch up, this guy is top notch. After my work, he was hesaded to San Ramon to work on a black Porsche.

Sweet! Glad it worked out... Surprisingly fast too.
I was thinking a guy like that would be booked for weeks.
I guess he doesn't have enough publicity on the right forums just yet!
