I hope the 285's will finally last us at least half a year. Problem is now I need to buy a trailer to transport the car and tires.

its really simple...bigger tires! and a good alignment (what kinida specs are you running?) you can pm me with specs if you want. it would be interesting to hear since i align Audis all day long

your car weighs too much for those tires. you need some 305s or something. the car i drive for example weighs 2000 and has 15X10 with 275s, we get lots of runs. but we dont have too much horsepower.

You going to the El Toro Pro?

See you there,

Default 285s fit on ur car?!?! wowsers. 710s wear pretty well

I think they start to go 'off' well before the physical wear sets in, though. I used mine for 8 AXs and 10 laps @ buttonwillow last year. they'll probably last thru another 5-6 AX this year, but they're def. not as quick as they were when new.

Default Hey Scott, nice to see you here too. Congrats on the National CSP win!!

You defintely have a wicked setup.

Our TT alignment is not as aggressive, but enough to eat tires on daily driving. I have toe out on front and rear, but not as aggressive as Gil's subbie. I plan to get it checked by a laser alignment shop since all the work is done with strings and levels at home. Do you work in a shop?

I couldn't fit anything fatter than 255's until I decided to do some body work a couple of days before SD. We tested 285's work when we were all down there.

I won't be making Pro because I broke the car again - just a ton of boost leaks that were apparent on Sunday so our times went downhill from there.

Good luck on the Pro. I'll try to re-gain my top spot locally. I'll be doing divisionals.

Default Rota Torques, 18x9.5 on the front. 17x8 on the rear

I normally had the 17x8 on the front due to fitment issues, but the last AX ate my Hoosiers, and I didn't want to buy another set of 17", 245 Hoosiers. So I placed the worn out 17x8's on the rear, pulled fenders and drilled the fender mounts and got the 18x9.5's to fit in front. Having worn out and skinnier rear tires was a bad but rather fun idea

When my 285's come in this week, I will have 18x9.5's on all four corners.

thanks... when the car comes back from el toro its coming apart again. its starting to work really nice!

i work at stevens creek audi (ducks and runs for cover). not all the techs are bad.

running toe out on the front end along with the camber you should be running will smoke the inside edge if you dont drive like an animal every day.

how does the car handle and where does it handle like what in the corner?

do you have adj camber arms in the rear?
