Default Panamera sighting

I don't normally share this kind of stuff, but this one is good and you're the only peeps out there I know that will get this:

I am working in EU for the month. Spent the last week at our Stuttgart office.

Sunday night, cold rainy evening, it snowed in the morning; I am enjoying my little A5 (the A5 rocks - great autobahn car - love it more than the Phaeton we used to run). I'm in the left lane cruising at just <200km... I look in the mirror and I see these light FLY up on me - here comes a 997 turbo, outta way slow boy (me) and I yield to the right as soon as I pass the next car.

It was no 997 turbo (similar headlight/LED markers) - it was a Panamera! DAMM what an amazing car. I smash the peddle past the floorboard, through the firewall - nothing I can do to get a second look, until we hit 120km speed limit area. And there it is - in beautiful rocket ship glory. Dark Burgundy red turbo Panamera!!!

So you think, okay, we are outside Stuttgart, makes sense they run evening mileage runs on one of these; we got lucky.

But wait, in the mirror again, oh no here we go again. Exact same scenario all over again - this one was a non-turbo Black one.

It is common to run mileage tests in the evenings, when its dark on a Sunday night - few people and lots of open autobahn - it's cool seeing these on the autobahn - they are beautiful.

Twice in one night - nice (like a great first date).

top gear review

Default I guess I need to see it in person - all the pics make it look like crap.

It would have been much nicer if it were a wagon.

Off Topic. Do you ever post on Core77 boards, the Industrial Design site?
