Car Crashes Into GSP Toll Booth, Killing Driver

A single-car crash at a Garden State Parkway toll plaza has claimed the life of a driver.

New Jersey state police say the driver of a car struck a concrete "bullnose" between two toll booths on the southbound side of the Great Egg Harbor toll plaza, near Somers Point, NJ, and caught fire.

The fire was quickly extinguished and the driver was pronounced dead at the scene, according to a state trooper.

The toll booth, between lanes 5 and 6, was unmanned at the time. There were no other injuries and no other vehicles involved.

Traffic was quickly rerouted around the accident scene, and the toll plaza continued operation with the other toll booths.

It may take a few days for repairs to be made to the plaza itself, so don't be surprised to see fewer toll lanes open through what could be a very busy weekend ahead.<ul><li><a href="http://youtube.com/watch?v=lK-J4xDwuR8">http://youtube.com/watch?v=lK-J4xDwuR8</a</li></ul>

The person had ahistory of having seizures and they believe he may have had one before the accident.

Well, that's terrible, he sure was moving. Thought he was running based on the cop afterward.

I've frequently seen police sitting at toll plazas.

I want to know where the cop came from at the end driving against the flow of traffic....
