I never thought it would happen to us, but we had a fire in the house tonight
 

Something went wrong in the kitchen (idk what; I just got home), but the house filled with smoke. Luckily the fire was contained to the kitchen, but it still sucks. The entire house reeks of smoke. No one was home at the time (which is good and bad) so everyone is ok. Power is out currently and I'm bumming off a neighbor wireless before I head to my grandparents for the night (can't stay here with smoke odor). Lovely coat of ash/soot covering stuff too. PSA: be careful.
