I think Riverside Audi robbed me for $1481 in labor,What do you think?

I brought my 2006 A6 in for a tire pressure monitoring system malfunction message that I received after I put on my summer wheels which are OEM wheels and sensors. I made repeated attempts to reset the system by selecting "change wheels" option in MMI,still received the malfunction message. I had the same problem last summer that was fixed with a "reset & recalibration" done by the same dealer. This year I was told all the sensors were changed, did not fix problem so my old sensors were put back in.Next, the TPMS module was changed, same problem my old part was put back. After 11 hours of labor they came to the conclusion that my aftermarket amplifier was causing "Frequency Interference" and since it was an outside cause I'm responsible for the labor.I also posted this on the C6 forum: https://forums.audiworld.com/c6a6/msgs/45915.phtml

At least you got the 'free' car wash

I would talk to the service manager and AoA.

iconoclast 05-11-2008 04:49 AM

i think now is the time you start contacting AOA, and putting a 'freeze' on that payment.

btw, its not uncommon for riverside to get a lil overzealous with their billing, however this is the wildest ive seen so far.

I did,no help at all.

I was told by Lisa Woods and her supervisor Brian that they looked into it and did not see a problem. They told me that dealers are independent and they can't tell them what to charge nor can they force them to refund any money. Peter D'Errico-Service manager over at Riverside, refused to put me in contact with the regional service manager. I was told that "He will speak to you the next time he's in the area".Alan Palma was of no help also he just backed up what Peter and Brian-Service Writer, were saying.

iconoclast 05-11-2008 11:19 AM

why wasnt it warrantied?

more importantly, aoa said the regional manager will contact you next time hes around?

Eric5412 05-11-2008 11:35 AM

Because "it was an outside cause"

The service manager at riverside (peter) told me I could speak with him(regional mgr) the next time he's around.Bull****.
