So I'm finally back from my romp in Norther VT... dam it was cold
4 degrees with like 40 mph winds last Sat/Sun, warmer Mon - Wed with some snow each day.
Jaypeak was a hockey rink. Stowe was a bit better but way too many stumps and streams exposed in the woods. and i should have gotten an avant.. The extra space, the box on the roof are all worth it.. Anyways its good to be back. *think snow* |
I was at Killington for 1st tracks on New Years Day. -8F and -35F windchill at base
I did one run and went and picked up my TFC voucher.
(Too Fu<kin Cold) |
I've heard Stowe has been sorta disappointing lately...
But they usually make up for it with HUGE snow in February. I'll be up there for Pres day so I hope so at least!
|
I'll be at Mt Snow from The 15th of Jan- the 17th incase anyone might go.
|
I was there to, very very cold.
|
It wasnt worth $ 89 but for $25 a day it was all good
The trees were hit or miss, some stumps and branches here or there.
Feb I'm headed to Jackson, they've been getting hammered. They reccomend a beacon for in-bounds these days. |
For freshies i would do it. To skate on ice bumps, no dice.
|
I always look forward to spring skiing...
...plenty of snow accumulated from the year
...45 degrees short-sleeve weather ...no lift lines ...uncrowded slopes |
