THANK YOU ALL...for being there yesterday...I love our community here..
..I read ALL your posts...several times over, and also forwarded them to my mom.
It gave us the strength to make the necessary decision. "Lady" is at peace now, and I will cherish those 15+ years of memories with her. I'm not ashamed to say that I cried myself to sleep last night. I just have the emptiness and mental pain to deal with for now. Note to Tom (dubaudi)..I understand and respect your position. The vet did check her out one last time, and did confirm that her problem had worsened and she was in pain due to the nature of it. In a younger dog an operation would have been required, but at here age it was moot. A vet will never tell you what to do, but when asked if she was his dog, what would he do, he responded "the same thing". Again...Thank you...ALL. |
R.I.P. "Lady"

sorry to hear (read)...

You in the end made the decision, and you need to give yourself that credit...
You should also be proud that you extended her life by 15 years. I hope Lady rests in peace, and hang in there. The sadness will get better.
