Working on the fine details for the 3/20/04 Central NJ Meet and Drive, so far i have this planned..

We will meet on Saturday March 20th, 2004 at 10:30am at the Rutgers Livingston Campus Parking lot.. Yellow lot to be exact.

I know this is early, but the drive is quite long. Going early will mean we won't finish too late, and still have a good portion of the Saturday to enjoy doing whatever.

No later than 11:00am, we head onto 287 north to Harriman State Park, which is right on the NJ / NY boarder.

I'll try to find exact parking lots at Harriman, as a second meeting point for those who don't want to meet us at Rutgers. We could snap some pics before doing the 'real drive.'

After getting to Harriman, we will drive the scenic Seven Lakes Dr., and possibly through Storm Run.. Baiscally, all the nice curvey roads are at Harriman State Park.. There are a bunch of roads that will twist and turn to your hearts content.

Please remember as stated from the October 2003 cliffs of insanity drive:

"We urge those that choose to attend to remember that though many of us drive capable modified cars, we cannot deny the laws of physics. Simply put, we look to have a ton of fun on the road, but not at the expense of the safety (or perhaps sanity) of anyone in the drive, or any bystanders."

From what i remember there are sections where if you F up, your ass is rolling down a cliff. I feel like a dad for saying this, but we will have to keep safe following distances, no racing on the Highways, we could, however, do a couple highway pulls.. is that considered racing?hehehe.. Just practice safe driving, we all have our limits, let's try to follow them..

I'll have a more detailed and final plan soon so keep an eye out...

Anyone want to think of a title for this drive..

This drive is just like the Cliffs of Insanity drive... but we need another title...

Bukkake Drive?? ahahhahah let's keep it clean

i'll lead the slow group

being that i can't afford tickets (i do this when riding with my "biker boys"), i'll lead the speed limit group on the way to the spot- meaning if you guys do some pulls, i'll stay back and relax (and whomever else just wants to stay slow). once we get to wherever we're going...do what you want=)

i will say- palisades parkway has "stepped up enforcement" - words from a cop biker buddy of mine....

caster 03-02-2004 04:54 AM

is this like 100 miles from Rutgers?

BukkakeRocky 03-02-2004 05:00 AM

we won't be touching much, if any, of the Palisades Parkway..

287N to 17N to Seven Lakes Dr.

coolnesh 03-02-2004 05:41 AM

that will turn out to be a really long drive... are there other options?

dont want to sound like a spoil sport... but was wondering what the turn out for that would be... if there is something around ~30 miles that would be great. That would have a lot more ppl join in.
