i often accelerate fast and stop due to speed limit...so i shift 1-2-3-5. when you do a "double click" on an smg paddle, will both shifts take .4s combined, or will there be a delay?

Default The Magnetti-Marelli system never "skips a gear"...

... except under very hard braking if you'd kill the engine, in which case it skips second to downhift from third to first and then to neutral as you come to a stop.

So the behavior you talk about is not normal driving behavior in an SMG vehicle.

Default i know they don't skip a gear

so it'd go 1-2-3-4-5...i was just wondering if there's any delay between shifts.

Default yes what? there is a delay?

you people are confusing me.

if a 3-4 shift takes .2 sec, and so does a 4-5 shift....will a 3-4-5 shift take .4 sec or will it take longer?

If what I've read is correct, if you double click fast enough, the computer will skip a gear.

Default Only if you click the second time before the first shift...

... has moved. Very hard to do, hence the 360 Challenge guys basically never double-click if you look at their cockpit videos.

Better to just shift one gear at a time. FYI, I tried to double-click downshifting several times in an F355 F1 and it never worked.

360 system has been updated a bit, though.

Default It will take .4s unless you double-click in time.

Read my post in response to Gop-Dogg.
