66 GTO, 67 Firebird pix. Firebird seat suggestions?
pix as requested on the A8 D2 forum https://www.audiworld.com/forums/a8-...-here-2972952/
66 GTO, all stock except the wheels. Resurrected from having sat in somebody's garage with a seized engine for years.
67 Firebird, work in progress. Last ran in 1989, but engine is 90% done. 400, 4 speed, GearVendors overdrive going in make the 3.73 gears run like 2.90 on the highway. Needs top, interior reassembly,
The original seats are horribly uncomfortable, and I'm not going to reupholster or reinstall them, at least not now. I want something better. The car is modified enough that it's not nearly original, so I'm not worried about that aspect. My 1997 Audi A8 seats are the most comfortable, yet well-cradling seats I've ever sat in. Hmmm...

That GTO is a sweet looking ride. The Firebird looks like a fun project. As for seats I'm guessing that your going to want to have the seats to fold forward, my suggestion would be to find from Audi 2 door cars (UrQ, CQ, TT, etc) as they have forward folding seats

Yeah, good point. I heard about a guy a few years ago who had bought up a bunch of Mercedes seats and was trying to sell them for use in GM A bodies (like the GTO). But they didn't fold. Kind of a fatal flaw, I'd think, unless it's for a 4 door.

I always like
"Low back" style buckets in older Detroit iron. Headrests just mess up the natural "airyness" of the greenhouse. Just my dose centos.
