NJ salestax registration question
have a friend who is buying an offlease car directly from the lease holder. He got a smoking deal on a 2006 BMW Z4 but discovered he's going to have to pay sales tax twice.
1) to the current lease holder who is essentially buying the car from BMW
2) when he goes to register the car.
Anyone aware of ways to get around paying sales tax twice?
