It is boring.
I was at a City meeting in support of a development. I am an Architect and in the interest of the continuation of my project I showed up to speek on behalf of it. The council wanted the process to be sent back to a public hearing for another review of items. The items that were requested for review are not defined by quasi-judicial ordinance. So basically they wanted me to return to a process that I have already fulfilled for reasons that are not of formal public requirement and therefore ambiguous.
A conversation ensued that became a little heated and ended with their citing of code whereby the identifiction of the council process cannot take into account any information that is not already a part of the closed record. My comment was that all of the items within the closed record address all of the code requirements and any additional requirements as indicated by the council were not formal reflections of it's own ordinance and we should not be held to any such requirements not formally entered into established quasi-judicial law.
Basically I got shut down......it took me over two years to get to this point and it may take me another 6 months just to get back infront of the council again.
