My CM stage 4 slips : ( ... and trying to put together a stock b5 s4 set of wheels share your spare?

Would love to take peoples spare wheels to make a set for my a4. I have 2 so far. Crazy the s4 slips with PJ k04s. Very tempted to just upgrade turbos with asp twin puck, rs6's?? could build a 3.0 tho....add some sauce?

Sounds like you got some choices to make :P

CM has had a few problems lately as it sounds. Have heard the ASP twin is very much on/off...a buddy of mine drove one and said it was pretty rediculous (not fun).

If you do RS6's- you won't need the 3L IMO...you could just do rods and get what those guys are getting at EPL out of the car. If you do 3L- go TIAL...

Sounds like though- you'll be tearing into the car again :P Good luck with the project, Im sure Jason is anxtious to do a 3L build.

check out this guy's post

I've already purchased the B6 S4 wheels off him, but the USP wheels should still be available<ul><li><a href="http://www.audizine.com/forum/showthread.php?t=205535">http://www.audizine.com/forum/showthread.php?t=205535</a</li></ul>

give me ur wheels

stadtjunge 04-28-2008 12:20 PM

I didn't buy the S4 wheels to replace my USP 18"s

I personally like the USP style more.

I picked up the S4 wheels for a buddy.

The problem now is the wheels are down in Portland, and I don't really have the time to pick them up. Know of anybody that could do the swing for me?

HeartlessNomad12 04-28-2008 12:23 PM

i just had a friend drive up last night

cant think of anyone making that trip any time soon

stadtjunge 04-28-2008 12:25 PM

eh, thanks anyways. Hopefully there is a girl coming up today that can grab them.

I don't think they'd fit in my anyhow. not with my new trunk situation

HeartlessNomad12 04-28-2008 12:33 PM

when do we get to see some pics

I went up snowboarding yesterday and tossed my dirty gear on the vinyl

Not to mention I need to wash the car. Depending on this weeks weather, and how my snowboarding injuries are, hopefully I'll have it washed in a couple days and I'll snap some shots for you.

It's not real flashy... very clean and simple. But is sounds INCREADIBLE. Maybe one of the best SQ systems I've EVER heard.

While I have had many issues with my CL 4, even having to rebuild every 6 months

it should hold the power, something is wrong if its slipping day 1.

But there really is no diffinitive clutch for the S4 that everyone likes. One of the reasons why I am pretty much done with the S4 scene.

Car is up for sale. Glad to see you making good power.

I have seen folks with RS4 trannys put down 2.5 2.7 FATS times on the street.

Kimchee 04-28-2008 02:59 PM

Vin Diesel.. is that you?

Killer00S4 04-28-2008 03:11 PM

Yes sir!

jason:addict 04-29-2008 06:54 AM

well, keep in mind it slips under full launch only....

and it's possible the break in wasn't really 'by the book' as the car was running a locked wasegate tune after install =)

The latest CM stuff does however actually disengage under full load and has a slightly stiffer pedal feel, which are both big improvements in my opinion. The stage 4 also has pretty good modulation for being a full faced metalic disc. Maybe it just can't handle over 450lbft to the wheels on a full launch, but it seams like it should. We're probably just going to twin disc.
