Default Quattrofest 2011 at PIR

Hi Everyone,

On behalf of Audi Club Northwest I would like to invite you to sign up for Quattrofest 2011. Event details are copied below but you can also find the event on motorsportreg.com for details.

Official event description for the event:

Quattrofest has been a fixture at PIR and ACNW's signature event for many years. The track has two miles of asphalt for everyone to enjoy. It features twelve turns that will include the famous "Festival Curves" for this event. <http://tinyurl.com/PIR20101106>

Easy to learn but challenging to perfect, PIR has a storied history. It has hosted many huge events including CART, IMSA, Trans Am, ALMS, NASCAR, and other national racing series. Tailor-made for driving schools, the facility has enough room to simultaneously run lapping sessions and skills exercises. This physical arrangement also allows Quattrofest to hold an autocross on both Saturday and Sunday.

Saturday the driving event proper starts with our Drivers Education program for novice drivers and lapping for experienced drivers. Learning to be better drivers is what Audi Club Northwest is all about. For information about what our driving schools look like please go to http://www.audiclubna.org/about-acna...ols-topmenu-62. This gives you a very good overview of what Audi Club North America driving schools are all about.

Drivers Education students will then get to participate in the afternoon autocross or lapping. If you have questions about what to register for, send the event master or registrar a note and they can help you tailor the event to your needs.

For Saturday evening, plan on a terrific dinner banquet at the Red Lion Hotel on the Columbia River, with good company, good food, and an entertaining experience for Audi enthusiasts. We are pleased to welcome Ross Bentley as guest speaker at our banquet.

Sunday, you go back to the track and continue with either lapping or autocross.

We hope you will consider joining us for this very special Quattrofest!

Adult drivers 18+ may choose from the following event options:
* Two-day driver education/ afternoon autocross (Saturday) and all day lapping (Sunday) for $369. Banquet, lunches and commemorative shirt included.
* Alternately two days of lapping for advanced drivers, with lunches, banquet and shirt $369.
* Single day lapping Saturday or Sunday, includes lunch but no shirt or banquet, $189.

Adult drivers, teens, and drivers with non-conforming convertibles or Roadsters may choose from the following event options:
* Full event two-day DE special: drivers education on Saturday morning, autocross Saturday afternoon and all day Sunday, $179. Banquet and commemorative shirt included.
* One-day driver education and autocross with lunch (Saturday), $100.
* 1/2 day autocross no lunch (Saturday afternoon only), $40
* Full day autocross with lunch (all day Sunday), $60

Registration pricing includes lunch for each day you participate. Guest lunches are available for $15. Guest banquet tickets are available for $50 each. Note: When meals are a part of our events, ACNW will attempt to accommodate special dietary requirements if requested. However, meals are provided by third parties and circumstances may not always enable ACNW or its vendors to meet every special dietary need.

All lapping participants must be Audi Club North America members. You may purchase membership as part of registration on the next screens or go to the Audi Club North America website to join.

Convertibles may run in Saturday's exercises and the autocross on both days. Please see Event Requirements in the next screens for further details. Sport Utility Vehicles (SUVs, SAVs), trucks and other high-center vehicles are not permitted on Saturday or Sunday. Contact your Event Masters for clarification if you are unsure about whether your vehicle qualifies or not.

Helmet requirement is Snell 2000 or later for Lapping. Helmets rated SA, M, or K are okay. Helmets are not required for the DE Exercises on Saturday morning. They are required for the Autocross on Saturday afternoon and Sunday, as well as all lapping sessions. Club helmets are available in several sizes for rental on a first come, first served basis. Please specify a size when registering.

Our hotel for this event is the Red Lion Hotel on the River-Jantzen Beach. The club has reserved a block of rooms at a group discount of $119 per night for one king bed or two queen beds. Go to www.redlion.com/jantzenbeach and on the right side column there is a box that has "Special Rates". In that special rates box there is a group/convention box check that and then put in the code AUDINW . That will bring up the rate for the group. Or you can call the hotel directly at 503-283-4466 and ask for in-house reservations. Or you can call 800-RED-LION and mention the Audi Club and they will get the special rate.

It is okay to bring friends with you too. You may be able to arrange rides for them with designated instructors on Sunday to experience first hand what a lapping day is all about. Everyone who enters the facility must sign the waiver to be made part of the club insurance.
