Register now for QuattroCross, Sunday, June 10, 2012, Evergreen Speedway, Monroe, WA
This new autocross program is offered by Audi Club Northwest (ACNW) and Motoring Unlimited at the Monroe Fairgrounds/Evergreen Speedway. We will have a very large autocross course utilizing portions of the Evergreen Speedway ovals and figure-8 paved area. This will be another unique autocross with the camber of the banked track being used for the additional challenge it creates. The huge figure-8 oval will be used for the majority of the course.
We are limiting registrations to 50 cars so there will be plenty of runs for everyone. Helmets are required for this Full Autocross.
Autocross is a wonderful way to learn car control and enjoy operating your car near it's limits. Speed is limited by the course design, but it does not feel that way! This form of motorsport places a strong emphasis on car handling and driver skill rather than high speeds or horsepower. The course uses cones to mark corners that come very rapidly to the driver. Drivers are timed one at a time from a standing start through the exit from the course, typically about one minute in total. The timing equipment permits more than one car to be underway so the groups cycle quickly. Most people that attend an autocross for the first time have never attempted anything like it. Many come back because it's just so much fun, and helpful for driver skill development and learning about how you and your car work together for a safer experience on the streets and freeways.
More detailed information and registration is available now at our event registration website www.audiclubnw.motorsportreg.com
