Saturday, June 23rd, 2007 - Drive to Leavenworth

Save the date and get ready for the 7th annual Drive to Leavenworth!

This annual pilgrimage to the Bavarian styled town of Leavenworth, Washington has grown from its humble beginnings to an annual car count well in excess of 300 unique European automobiles. Get your calendar cleared off and ready to join hundreds of enthusiasts on a driving tour of some great roads, all while ending up the little town of Leavenworth.

See you all in June!

History of the Leavenworth Drive Event

Evolution Sports started this event back in 2001 as a simple drive over the mountains for some friends and customers. It grew substantially from there. While Evolution Sports is no longer with us, they asked us to take over this event and continue the tradition. We are looking forward to carrying this event forward, and continuing to grow it each year. Thank you to all the years of history from Evolution Sports!

Default Best cruise of the year hands down. Hopefully there will be more...

Audis this year. VWs prolly make up 90% of the cars in attendance, but I'm almost certain there were more BMWs than Audis on the drive last year. 'Twas a crying shame.

Also, for those that went last year, and got pissed and or turned-around in Sultan because of the traffic, fear not, there are alternative routes to get through Sultan. I'll be providing details on an alternate route near the date

Isn't Leavenworth a maximum security prison and military prison on the east coast?

Default Leavenworth drive was awesome last year. Where are we going to meet now though?

Instead of at Evolution sports now that they are out of business?

Default I'm there

I did it last year from Ellensburg. I hope we can take better roads than just Hwy 2. are there any side highways that run parallel?

I've got some fun pictures from last year...

Default Nice!

I did the drive in '05, and had a great time. Traffic didn't seem toooo bad, but I think I was towards the front of the pack.

One alternative if people want to beat traffic on Rt. 2 would be to go 90 east over Snoqualmie pass, and then take 97 north over Blewett pass to get to 2. From the eastside anyway, that route takes the same amount of time, if not slightly faster, to Leavenworth. Then take Rt. 2 on the way back and it's a nice little loop.
