smart Key only work manually

Both key fobs only will work manually to lock and unlock the car. The auto function that was working to unlock with the fob in my pocket has stopped working. Any ideas?

Maybe try with changing the battery in the fob as a starter

Also it could be the door antenna but you'd need a vcds to confirm
