Hey folks. I have a White 2012 A3 TDI S-Line. I am enjoying driving it, but will have to turn it in for the recall at the end of 2017. I hate that it will most likely be scrapped... and I was told that it need only arrive under its own power in order to get the full buy-back. So... Is it acceptable to offer to sell anything from the car that will not affect it's ability to drive here in the forum? Floor mats. Seating. Cargo area cover. Speakers. Etc? Or is that a breach of protocol here?

Furthermore, I can't be the only one to have thought of this. Where is the best resource to "recycle" these parts before turning it in? And.. am I correct in my assessment of the rule saying it must arrive under its own power?? Can I show up with just the driver's seat and most of it stripped?
