I think so. I will be dropping by the Audi dealer in a bit and I can ask my technician about it. I will let you know.

Just checked with my technician. He said it's an easy and direct swap. Hope this helps.

No, the trapezoid will not fit on this steering wheel. You will need to get a circular airbag.

Looking at the online photos of a 2007 S8 steering wheel shows that they have the identical buttons on the steering wheel. However it's up to you to check to see if the harness is identical. If not, I am pretty sure your Audi dealer has a solution.

This is off the 2012? It came without the R8 emblem on the bottom spoke. It certainly looks like it's from the earlier era but I don't know for sure.

All R8's use the "earlier era" steering wheels and this one too.
