Default @$#&! JE sent me the wrong piston pin locks.....

I've spent the last couple days trying to get the pin clips in to no avail. Called JE, and told them I thought they were too big. They checked the specs and said it needed a 0.05" clip, the ones I had were 0.063" Thier job sheet even indicated they had shipped 0.063" clips, even though it was spec'd for 0.05"

They're sending me new ones, I should have them by Friday. UPS better not mess this one up!

If all goes well, I'll have the motor in this weekend.

Default That just

sucks. Hey john just got news about my car. Crank is in and JE is making the Pistons right now. We are also going with shorter rods because they want to make the pistons decks much thicker from what they told me. This means they had to move the wrist pins down and this made us have to use a shorter rod. But all the parts are being made as we speak and should have them in the next week or so.

What size rods will you be using? I'm assuming they'll be custom.

Default I will ask him since I did not ask what size or what brand he is going to be using.

All he said was that they are going to be a little shorter then the stock ones would be since they needed to build the pistons different because are going with a 8:1 compression custom piston.

Default Double @$#&! JE said they machined the pistons wrong.....

They were supposed to be machined for 0.063" grooves, not 0.050" So they have to make me new ones, which will take about a week, at the very least.
